About

Mina is pursuing an advanced certificate program, Tonmeister, which is related to a high degree in audio recording techniques for spatial audio setup at New York University after completing a Master’s program in Music Technology at New York University Steinhardt. Her thesis was “Sound Effects and Music to Create an Immersive Experience for a Horror Game: Dead Space.” At NYU, She worked as a web designer for a music technology department, a Dolan studio intern, a concert recordist, and a computer technician. She is currently working as an audio technician at the audio lab and a production assistant at Clive Davis. She studied contemporary music, specifically Jazz piano and composition, at Sungshin Women’s University. At the university, she studied music under Byoung Woo Lee, who is an advanced film composer and guitarist in South Korea and invited for academy membership, and Jung Bum Kim, who is known as a visionary singer-songwriter and film composer in South Korea. She started to work as a junior film composer during her junior year at university with Jung Chae-woong, who is a film composer and sound designer. Mina has a classical piano background of 25 years and a jazz music background of 13 years.

Film Composer with 9 years ‘ background in arranging and creating musical compositions, with a high degree of proficiency in various sound design and music editing software such as Pro Tools and Logic Pro X. Familiarity with a range of musical genres, with elevated experience in Film scoring.

Currently invested in learning Game audio, Immersive audio, Python, and machine learning implementation in Music Information Retrieval [MIR] at NYU.
